Welcome!

Anyone who worked at Disney Feature Animation over the past forty years knew who Vance Gerry was. Very few actually got to see his work before it was shipped off to the archives.

Fortunately, the geek in me started making copies of his work and instead of sitting in a folder in my personal archive I want to share these drawings with as many people as possible. If you look long enough at these drawings and paintings you will be able to see the kind, funny, humble and generous man that was Vance Gerry.

Two nice sketches that Vance did for THE SWAN PRINCESS, a project being developed by Roger Allers just before he was drafted to co-direct THE LION KING. The project went nowhere and the drawings ended up in the archives.

    Great to see these drawings here! Thanks so much for saving them, Ed. Vance was a wonderful & talented guy, and it does my heart good to see him remembered and appreciated in this way. While I'm at it, you're pretty wonderful and talented yourself.

    The Swan Princess was actually later made at Rich Animation Studios, a studio formed by the director of The Fox and the Hound and The Black Cauldron.
